Working with Ava, I’ve learned how to cut, maintain, and bulk. I’ve also learned how to evaluate the nutritional value of specific foods. In the process, I’ve gained 6kg body weight, added 10kg to my snatch, and 11kg to my clean and jerk. My biggest takeaway working with Ava is that you can’t achieve your nutrition goals without application.

I physically feel stronger. One of the takeaway’s I’ve gained working with Ava is that having a framework is really important to me. I like knowing what macros I should be aiming for and even if each day isn’t perfect I have a general target I am aiming for, especially for protein. I’ve had some little snatch and clean and jerks PRs and I’ve been able to squat heavier more often than I have previously.

I started working with Fuel Works for my health, and I took it as a good chance to also go down a weight class as well. I’ve successfully gone down a weight class, going from 118-120kg bodyweight to 108kg in roughly 10 weeks, and it was the easiest cut I’ve ever done. My resting heart rate went from 100 to 80bpm, and I retained most of my strength in the lifts that mattered for competition while improving my health and physique which was a nice bonus.
